Dave started tying flies a few years ago to save some money. He's still broke but his fly boxes are full. He is a native Hoosier, a habitual line stepper, and a fan of ugly fish. He started fishing when his grandfather gave him a pole to stop him from setting things on fire around the campground. Most of the flies he ties are quick and dirty for warmwater fish around Indiana. Dave is a writer and photographer, runs a fly tying night at his local brewery, teaches casting and tying classes, and randomly pops up at tying shows around the US.
